Creative un for hours on endMy son loves to play with these. Found one at a garage sale and he is hooked! He loves to switch out the parts.5Automoblox, the best!We have many of these cars, mini and larger. My ASD wheel-obsessed child just loves them. He enjoys taking them apart, taking the wheels on and off and assembling some super long stretch limos. They don't all mix and match perfectly but there are enough pieces that do. Over time, everything loosens up and if you play with them non-stop like my child, they eventually loosen up too much. So excited to have a new one to add to the mix. These are beautiful cars.5Automoblox Mini CarI like how the cars designed, the wood is nice- also how you can mix-n-match and rearrange pieces to put your own unique customized spin on the vehicle, that's inventive. The wheels spin pretty good while in use/smoothly but there was a little squeak while using. Didn't matter that much, the rest of it is good, well-designed for a miniature car. You can collect different cars from Automoblox and mix-n-match them. The line-up has several other cool cars and different types to choose from. Cars are made of real wood. Overall, cool mini car and I'd recommend it.4disappointed with quality of the buildnot the same quality as it used to be a couple of years ago...when i opened the box i thought i had been sent seconds.....2Beautiful and sleek wooden toy, but wheels are really hard to disassemble--and body's too easy.Children who like vehicle toys will appreciate this sleek, handsome wooden car. It's fun to take it apart and switch pieces with others in the line. In theory, it's an awesome toy. My problem with it is the fastening system. The body pieces are easy to snap apart--too easy: it's difficult to remove the windshield without also separating the body pieces. And the wheels/tires are all but impossible to remove. I'm an adult with strong hands, it taking the wheels and tires off was really hard for me. For my 5-year-old, it's all but impossible. Since it's rated 4+ (which seems appropriate to me, given the simplicity of the toy + size of the parts), it should really be easier to remove the wheels.If your kid has Popeye hands or doesn't care about the mix-and-match qualities, it's a really beautiful toy--something that they'd hang on to and pass down to their own kids.3Very GoodAs the point of these vehicles was to be able to take them apart and reattach items from one to another, I already had one of the vehicles, so I got this second one when it was offered so that I could see how easy it was to do that. Very easy except for the roof/canopy which I did have trouble with. I could have been having trouble due to arthritis in my hands, but I think it was more the fact there was nothing to grab onto to pull it off. However, I did get everything pulled apart and had fun putting pieces back together in my own way. I think children would have fun with these, especially if they get enough vehicles so that they a good inventory of pieces to make their designs. I liked the smooth wood with no splinters and depending on the child using them, the may last to the point that their children will be able to use them as well. Even though I no longer play with toys and my children are adults, I still like seeing well built toys.4Good quality wooden carMy two year old really likes his Automoblox. We have 4 of the sets. He loves cars, and plays with them almost every day, taking apart the body and connecting the pieces again.As far as interchangeable parts, there's really not much you can do. The wheels are too difficult to take off and put back on, and there's really not much point besides the color. The parts are not precision engineered, so you'll get some alignment issues between pieces from different sets.Still, we like these toys. The wood is high quality and we want our son to have wooden toys and not so much plastic. The box the set comes in is eco-friendly (cardboard) and can be recycled.4HUGE HIT WITH THE GRANDSONOur toddler grandson LOVES these cars. They are just the right size for his hands, and he loves mixing the parts around on all the cars to make different cars, and he also just likes taking them apart and putting them back together.A genuine wood toy with a great feel, and the pieces are easy to take apart, but hold firmly when assembled.The plastic pieces on all the cars are the same for each car. There's a "red" car, and "blue car" a "green car" etc., so it's easy to return the cars to their default configuration, or have fun mixing different colored parts to make a new car.This is one of the first toys our grandson goes for when he comes over, and he plays with them longer than most of his other toys.High quality, great feel, great workmanship. Highly recommended.5Love it - high quality - wheels are hard to take offSo nice to have a high quality toy that will last. We were hesitant to pull too hard on the wheels for fear that we would snap a connection. But I knew they should come off after watching the video, and some gentle, high pressure pulling did get them off. The tire part can come off too and I suggest just doing that. Keep it easy for kids.- Rolls well on the floor (both hard surface and carpet) with just a slight push.*Don't choke on the small parts- Can see this would be so much fun for boys to play together with their own different models and swap parts among each other. Slightly higher price than your cheap plastic cars but will last longer, and hopefully be more fun :)5Rough wood patches, only three wheels touch the ground - not impressedBecause the point of Automoblox is to mix and match parts from different vehicles, I ordered three different models:(*) Automoblox Mini C12 Cipher Sportscar(*) Automoblox Mini T15L Grizzly Pickup Truck(*) Automoblox Mini C11 Nebulous SedanThese three are shown together on the boxes for each one, leading me to believe that they are intended to be used to mix and match pieces. More on this below, but the car parts don't match well with the truck parts because the wheels aren't at the same level.In general, they are all at least _decently_ well made, but every one of them has some issue with quality that makes it not a very good toy. The biggest issues to me are rough wood patches and misaligned parts (and wheels that don't touch the ground) because of improper placement of pegs. Only one of my three, the truck, rolls very well. Also, none of them are nearly as shiny as the pictures indicate that they are, and the rubber tires aren't shiny at all.Things that I like about the designs:(*) With the three models that I got, every one of them is color coded so that you can tell which model the pieces are for when you've taken them apart and have a number of different model parts in front of you. The tires, posts, and top pieces all have the same color for a given model...and each model has a different color. That's awesome. The wheels are not color coded, though, so they aren't distinct if you take the rubber tires off(*) They Minis are a good size for toy, being about 4.5 to 5 inches in length. They are easy to grasp and small enough to move around quickly(*) You can put multiple center sections together to create a longer wheel base. Granted, it looks kind of junky because of the misalignments...but it's cool that it allows for thatSomething that I don't like related to the design in general:(*) Although advertised as being meant to mix and match, the truck and car parts aren't really designed for that. Yes, they will lock together, but the designs have the wheels at different distances from the center line...so they vehicles aren't level if you actually combine truck and car partsThings that I don't like that are related to poor quality control:(*) Two of the models that I got have sizeable rough wooden patches on them where they cut out material to make a feature but failed to sand it down. One is bad enough that I think a kid could get a splinter from it(*) Two of the models (different two than above) don't roll easily because one or more wheels sticks and/or doesn't touch the ground(*) There is generally some misalignment in the three segments of any given vehicle, with the C12 being the worst with noticeable steps in between. That gets worse when mixing and matching pieces from different vehiclesIn general, I don't recommend these.3
