Customer Reviews

Three Starsgood condition but missing the coffee cup card 3A poorly designed game with some decent trivia questionsJust to be clear this is a review of the product not he seller. My seller shipped it exactly as expected and all the pieces were there. My sister and I both watch Friends a lot and I thought this would be a great game for us because we both enjoy answering trivia. The questions themselves are very difficult, which is great. They vary in level of detail, but some of them can be as specific as an actor's name who played a guest role that was only in one episode. Other's are more simple like "which friend did this?". This game would have gotten four stars from me despite its shortcomings (I'll mention below), but I found a few incorrect answers on the cards, so that can be frustrating when you know an answer is right, but the card isn't.As for the actual game it a sort of trivial pursuit type game where you go around to the different apartments and answer questions on each role. If you are correct you get to keep going. If you answer a question right in a friends apartment you get to cross of an items on your check sheet. At the end of the game you win if you cross everything off and had the coffee card and reach Central Perk. As explained there this would be an okay game, but they add in all kinds of complications that don't really serve any purpose except to make the game more confusing. For example at the beginning you have to role the die to see which item you need from each apartment. There's no point to this because no matter what you get you go to the same place and answer a question. Also they have you collect this coffee card by playing charades that don't make any sense when you land on certain spaces. So we basically just ignored the coffee card. It seems like they just decided to cram whatever they could fit into the gameplay.Overall I'd say this would be more fun as just the trivia questions you could ask each other. The game itself kinda stinks. But if you enjoy answering questions about Friends and you have a very strong knowledge of the show I'd say its worth finding a copy. Otherwise this probably isn't for you. 3The included instructions were for a different trivia game and ...The included instructions were for a different trivia game and one of the trivia cards was missing. However, I did find the instructions online. 3A tin full of Friends fun!I love Friends and thought I knew a lot about the show - and I was right, though some questions are tough like the names of characters that appeared in only one memorable episode. This game is a mixture of Friends Trivia and Friends Charades. My husband and I had the best fun acting out Friends scenes and trying to guess. It makes for a GREAT night of fun, but catch up on your episodes! 5So-so trivia gameI am a HUGE Friends fan and bought this game thinking that it would be fun. After playing it, I am disappointed that I even bought this game, as it is not at all what I expected. The game comes in a large tin which is mostly full of a large, plastic insert that holds all the game components--trivia cards, coffee card, game board, item score sheets, instructions and game pieces. This game could easily have fit in a much smaller container. The game as a whole is durable, but the prized "coffee card" will not last for very long. It needs to be laminated as it rips and tears very easily. The game pieces are your standard colored, plastic pegs (similar to Sorry or Clue) but are made of a much cheaper/lower quality plastic. The game board is a four-fold game board and there is also a pad of item score sheets. The instructions are very vague with complex rules that can be difficult to understand. It takes 3-4 rounds for everyone to feel comfortable with the rules and to stop referencing the instructions. One major complaint is that some player's turns end up being several minutes long due to the poorly designed rules. You need to wait for a player to get a question wrong before the next player can have a turn. If you're playing with more than 3 people, the turns can get very long--especially if a player gets some easy questions. The object of the game is to collect objects from all the Friends apartments and mark them off on the item score sheet. You can only collect certain items from specific Friends apartments. The restrictions are hidden in the rules and it would be better if they were printed on the item score sheets. I don't understand the point of these item sheets. It seems pointless to mark off a page of items when it would be so much easier just to keep score. The item score sheets are just an un-needed element that adds to the complexity of the game.I have seen every episode several times, but some of the questions are really tough. There are a lot of questions about things that are in the background that you would never notice or about minor characters that appeared on the show. There are roughly 200 question cards with 5 questions on each card and a Charades option. That makes roughly 1,000 questions for the game and 200 Charade options. Several questions are even repeated on several cards. However, I think that there should be a lot more question cards for a "trivia" game about a show that has been on tv for over 9 years. After playing this game several times, you start getting some of the cards that were already read for previous questions. The Charades option (if you roll a star) can be fun to act out if you have decent action, but for the most part, the Charades are too difficult to act out without speaking or giving a clue to the other players.Overall, the game is so-so. The complexity of the rules & instructions, as well as the small amount of trivia cards that come with the game, is why I rated this so low. I don't think that I will play this game all that much. It is not what I expected and it's just as fun and enjoyable to read the questions without playing the complex game. 2Love itMy father used to have this game and it was my all time favorite. F.R.I.E.N.D.S is my favorite tv show and to be able to find this trivia game again made me very happy. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The questions were both easy and difficult but if you are a die-hard fan like myself, the "difficult" questions were not very difficult. Even though I knew it about every answer, this game was still a lot of fun especially since I was able to beat my husband at something finally. I would definitely recommend this trivia game o any F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan. 4She was very happy, and enjoys the game with friendsBought as a gift for my daughter....She was very happy, and enjoys the game with friends 5it smelled of mildewIt smelled of Mildew upon opening. 2Fun for any Friends FanIf you loved watching Friends, you will love playing this trivia game. I watched EVERY episode at least 3x and I still don't get all the answers so it is good that it is not super easy. For teens to adults. Highly recommend for any Friends fan, and makes a great gift. 5PerfectAs funny as expected 5
