They were thin enough that the kids didn't get terribly hot in them until I had them run around the stage for an hour during rehearsals. They run a little large but that was ok since sometimes I had the kids crawling and they needed room to move. Almost all had to be hemmed though to keep them from being too long. Also the hoods didn't stay up but bobby pins worked very well to keep them on during the play, even with lots of movement. I appreciated that the paws were attached. I can't imagine trying to keep up with 24 loose paws! Yes, it's polyester, but it's nice and soft, super cute, has paw (hand) covers as well as a detachable tail, and a nice velcro closing that goes up the front (so they can take it off like a jumpsuit). My son has worn his costume all day long at school, and at camp when they have dress-up day. This thing is also really durable. My son wore his first one at least 10 times with no visible wear and tear except for ketchup stains, and I don't expect ANY costume to stand up to his ketchup messiness. Ha! 5Super cuteSuper cute! Order a size up so you can layer warm clothes underneath. Works ok for a one and done , but don't anticipate you will have this costume to pass down. 3Excellent lightweight optionThis costume is great, not too heavy like the "Fur" ones. My daughter wore it 4 times for different halloween events. It went in the wash after each use and still came out looking great, no pilling and the color was still as good as when we took it out of the package. 5
