Newcomers can quickly snap a few pieces together for a ready to fly rocket, right out of the box. As their skills develop, our kits increase in complexity. With over 132 different rocket kits to build from, the skys the limit on what one can create.
    • GUIDES and SUPPORT: Each Flying Model Rocket Kit comes with its own easy to follow, step-by-step instruction guide for kids to follow. Educators and youth group leaders can access a resource library with dozens of lesson plans and curriculum for grade levels 5-12 in Science, Technology, and Math.
    • SKILL LEVEL: The Wizard is an Intermediate level rocket which will help a budding rocketeer develop some basic model building and finishing skills.
    • RECOMMENDED ENGINES (not included): 1/2A6-2, A8-3, A8-5, B4-4, B6-4, B6-6, C6-5, C6-7
    • PROJECTED ALTITUDE: 1600 ft. (488 m) on a C6-7
    • ESTIMATED ASSEMBLY TIME: 1 hour (glue drying time not included)
    • LAUNCH SYSTEM: Compatible with the Porta-Pad II launch pad and Electron Beam launch controller, or any launch system that can support a 1/8 inch launch rod.

    Great Set of RocketsEach rocket came in its own plastic bag with all of the contents as well as instructions to assemble. Sturdy rockets for the most part. The fins can become bent or broken if it lands awkwardly, but I guess that's why it's good to buy the bulk pack, to have back-up rockets available. 5Great for group builds, unbelievable price.Used it for my scout troop, made 12 wonderful rockets that all worked. A bit more assembly required than expected and instructions were only so-so, I used YouTube videos to help guide the building, but can't find a better deal. 4The fins are difficult to attach.The Rockets themselves were fun when assembled but the fins were very difficult to align. We had a class of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders assembling these and we resolved to go with a different style next time due to the fins. Once the fins were on the rest went fine and they went nice and high. 3Remote never worked evenThe first rocket we received on the remote the light wouldn't light up the rocket wouldn't launch. So we shipped it back for a replacement the light on the 2nd one turned on but never launched. We disassembled it and reassembled it but still didn't work. 1Good value bulk setThese rockets have a narrow tube which are about the same diameter as the A8-3 engines recommended for first flight. This makes it a little challenging to get the wadding and parachutes packed so as not to be TOO tight for successful ejection during flight. This happened to more than one of our cub scouts during our rocket rally. Fortunately, light rockets such as these don't really demand a parachute for safe recovery. This kit allows for the challenge of fin alignment and gluing, so not the best kit for first-time assembly, but still an excellent kit for advanced beginners. 4ReviewExcellent 5AwesomeEasy to build as a first timer. For my first go at model rockets for the Cub Scout Pack, this was the best choice by far. Easier to build than I thought. A little overwhelming at first but as you go along it gets much easier. I built 2 and by the second I was like a pro. The rocket has the potential to go very very high. It all depends on the engine size and the construction. As long as the fins are correctly mounted and the engine spacer ring is glued in properly, then this thing has the potential to go every bit of 1000 feet easily. Great first rocket to do with children and the price is worth it as compared to some other inexpensive options that are very cheap grade. Highly recommend!!!!! 5Great for our class!Used two of these packs for y 5/6th Gr. class. I assembled the lower portion using the Estes fin jig and then had the students assemble everything else. That was enough difficulty for their level to ensure everything was properly installed. Rockets did awesome too! Great for class projects! Used A8-3 engines. 5Good for school rocket club.I prefer these to the Viking bulk packs because they have balsa fins. I wish they made bulk packs of the Mosquito rockets, it would be easier for beginners and much cheaper! 5Excellent valueBought this kit for the cub scouts. Not a build I would give to most children under 10 to do by themselves, but with supervision these are great rockets. 5
