Not a Skip-ItSo I bought this product because I expected it to be similar to the skip-it but for a lower price. I'm an adult who hates working out, so I thought it would be a fun way to get active. It's a ball on a rope and the rope pulls around your ankle. I've tried to use this multiple times, but each time, I get rope burns on my ankle and one time I stepped on it and it tightened around my ankle and bruised the area where it wraps around. The cord also wraps around the leg while you are trying to spin it around to jump over it with the other leg/foot. You can jump three times before you have to unwind it from around your leg. I would recommend saving the money and buying something that is a bit more sturdy around the ankle/leg.2Dont buy thisJust a junky item...and materials used are extremely poor and a poor design1good cardio!i work out at home and am always looking for new work outs and such! this is good for adding some "FUN" cardio into a work out!!! also, i had one as a kid so its neat to use it again!5DisappointingThought this would be like the other, more expensive rope skippers, but it's not. The ball just tangles up the line, so you can only do it for a few minutes, then you have to untwist the tangles. Fast.4It seems like a cool toyIt seems like a cool toy. I was actually looking for the old school skip it from when I was a kid but thought this would be fun. You can only skip it 2-3 rotations before it wraps around your leg. Do not waste your money on this1Looked goodBought this skipper for my 8yr old. Thought it looked great with the flexible cord instead of the plastic loop of other ones. Problem is the cord just twists and twists and the ball on the end doesn't spin on the cord.2My daughter loves itMy little girl is not so sports minded, I wanted a way to get her moving and she told me one day about this which reminded me of the one I had, it had a bee on it. So with spring break here I thought I would buy her one too keep her and the other kids busy and moving. It is a huge hit with all the ages 4-17.5I was hoping to use this like those old 'skip it' things in the 90's and this just doesn't work well for that.You need to really rapidly jump and swing your leg to get this thing going. The ankle part is string so it kind of gives you rope burn unless you have socks on- and if you have socks on the rope pulls at the socks so it gets annoying. I really wish it was a solid ring and a solid pole like the skip-it was. They were comfortable to use and you could actually casually skip instead of needing to play helicopter to keep the thing going.2Unuseable as a "skipper" for more than 2 or 3 skips, without unraveling it from your leg and starting over again each time.We unfortunately can't use this because the "loop" which goes around your leg as shown, isn't "open" at all, it's just floppy rope which inevitably gets too tight and the friction makes it more like a "tether ball" strangling your leg until you trip or fall (luckily in the grass for us), than the old "lemon twists" that I played with as a kid. We've tried it on bare skin, socks, and long pants of all sorts. I can now only think of trying to find some sort of plastic tubing in a hardware store, to possibly go around the leg loop to see if it will keep the hole open so it will continue to go around in a circle we can play with, instead of it acting like a hungry boa constrictor. I'd have to splice the tubing though, so it's doubtful it will work, but maybe I can figure something out so it's not a total waste.2Skipper toyMy 6 yr. old granddaughter wanted one. The slick plastic slips off her leg very easily. Cloth rope might be better. This product is for an older child. She loves the raspberry color. She will be able to play with it when she gets older. Once a person learns to make it work properly, it is fun. It would be good exercise and good for balance.4Doesn't workBought for 9YO girl. She tried this with shoes, socks only, barefoot.... it kept twisting around her skinny ankle. We tried adjusting the ankle loop circumference by adjusting the location of the knot to no avail. She could skip it for about 3 rotations, then it would wrap around her ankle. Not fun.1Didn't work wellThe loop in the cord would stick to the leg instead of spinning around. The end result would be more like a tether ball with the cord wrapped around the ankle instead of continuous jumping. This was even with bare feet and legs without anything to get stuck on.2They don't make them like they used toA little disappointed with this thing......I remember as a child having a skipper with a formed rubber ring that slipped around your ankle and a bouncy ball on the other end. This just has the rope that goes around the ankle and the ball is hard plastic, so it doesn't work quite the same way. I thought it would be a fun way to get some extra exercise, and the concept is right, just lacks a bit in the execution. Didn't work for what I wanted, but maybe a child would enjoy it.3
