    Does the workThis product does the work it is supposed to do: it rocks the car seat. I did not find it particularly loud; it is not silent, but like any other gadget, it does make noise. I have only been using it with an adapter, so can't comment on how long the batteries last. Also, not sure about the reviewers' comments about how this is a horrible product because babies are supposed to sleep in cribs. This product is not meant to replace a crib, but it does come handy when the baby is in the middle of his/her nap, and the car ride is over. That is precisely what I have been using it for. Finally, four stars because, in my opinion, it is overpriced. There is not too many comparable products, so I can see how the lack of competition is driving the price up. But ultimately, it is one very simple gadget that rocks the seat in one mode (unlike modern baby rockers where you can regulate speeds, modes, etc.). 4Baby always naps in his rocking car seat :)This contraption has lasted on batteries for almost 3 months. We still have yet to change the batteries! Also, it rocks the car seat and puts my baby to sleep almost every time. He actually naps in the car seat in the living room because the rocking is so soothing to him. Great product!! 5Great product but annoying that the AC adapter isn't includedI love this product but only giving four stars because the AC adapter is not included. I use it for when Baby's nap will only be partially in the car, i.e. will start or end at home. If Baby's nap will start before we leave, then I strap her into the car seat on the rocker and prop up a bottle, and she will fall right asleep while I finish getting ready and then can simply carry her out to the car when it's time to go. Or, if she's napping in the car and needs to finish her nap, then this allows for that. I'm still debating whether this can replace a full sized baby swing - it might. It is fairly heavy so while portable not convenient to carry around, i.e. you don't just pop it into a large diaper bag as shown in the picture. As others said, it's noisy, but that doesn't bother us. Overall, I think this is a must-have piece of baby gear. I didn't have it for my first child and so wished that someone would invent this to avoid interrupted naps in the car. As someone else mentioned, this product should not be used for prolonged sleep that is unsupervised as car seats are not recommended as a safe sleeping place (though of course what baby doesn't sleep in the car seat in the car!). For prolonged sleep, I recommend the Fisher Price Auto Rock and Play. That is also a must-have piece of baby gear. 4Saves space and money, works great!Lifesaver!We live in a small downtown apartment and don't drive very much, so our car seat is always just taking up space in the living room. So rather than buying an independent rocker that would take up even more space, we decided to buy this and turn our car seat into a rocker. One it saved us some money and two it saved us a lot of space.The first time we put our crying little two month old into the car seat on the rocker she stopped crying almost immediately. Great, now the wife and I have some free time, and being alone with baby is way easier. 5Worth itOriginal review:I bought this one month and 22 days ago. We used it every weekday for 2-3 hours. It died today. It's worth every penny to keep difficult babies asleep during naptime, but I do wish it would last just a little bit longer. I don't want my house to turn into a car seat rocker graveyard. (Yes, I am going to buy another one; it's worth it to me because I'm desperate and they're probably counting on that).Also, it's not okay to sell the adaptor separately and charge nearly $20 for it.Tip: if it stops working, first check if the plates are aligned. They need to be sitting properly one on top if the other.Update: Right, so I bought a new one and plugged in the old adaptor. It didn't work. Tried with batteries. It worked. So I will be returning the new one and leaving a review for that overpriced POS adaptor. Also, the manual says if you call them they will send you an adaptor free+shipping and handling. I don't know how much that would cost. I updated the stars to five, because it's been running on the same batteries for months now (used daily), is holding up to being flung around, and does its job steadfastly. 5Nap saver!!This item is a life (and sanity saver)!! For weeks my 8 week old son has only been taking 20 minute naps, and neither he nor I was happy about it. I tried LITERALLY everything to get him to push past that 20 minute mark into some good quality sleep. He LOVES his car seat carrier so I thought that I would get this a shot and it is fantastic. I just rock him to sleep in my arms and then once he dozes off lay him in his car seat and turn the Rock On on and he sleeps for HOURS. He went from sleeping 20 minutes to sleeping 2-4 hours in one day. Now, it is loudish (the reason I only gave it 4 stars and not 5), but my son prefers white noise so he sleeps with his sound machine cranked up anyways and it drowns out the noise. But other than this I have no complaints. Now it doesn't seem all that sturdy, but if $40 gets him hours of sleep, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat even if it did break. A must try for anyone at their wits end. 4Totally love it!!!Totally love it!!! We've been using it on batteries for now. It's a little frustrating that the cord isn't included with the rocker, but at least the manufacturer offers it for free if you cover shipping. I don't know how we survived my first child without it! 5Smartest baby product ever!The Redmon Rock On Car Seat Rocker is the smartest baby product ever. Traditional swings take up so much room and are so ugly. Not to mention not portable. This rocker takes up almost no space and works wonderfully. We even brought this car seat rocker on our family vacation to Hawaii to help our infant nap. We've had it for two months and we've used it daily, hours at a time. It's on its first set of batteries and it's still going strong. As others have mentioned, it is pretty loud, but I consider it free white noise. I wish I had this product years ago for our first two kids. I've seen and used many baby products over the years and whoever invented this deserves an award. 5It was rocking our daughter like CRAZY and it was the only thing that would ...We didn't buy the charger that is recomened with this rocker and used one I found in a pile of cables. It was rocking our daughter like CRAZY and it was the only thing that would make her fall asleep, but it burnt out after about 2 weeks. We ended up getting another one with the recommended charger and it was so slow and gentle our daughter didn't like it so we stopped using it. 4Great fix for a common baby sleep problem.I really like this product. My baby falls asleep in the car all the time and no matter what I have tried it's impossible to transition him out of the car seat to a crib or swing. We have tried manually rocking the car seat- which works but isnt the best option. This is small, portable and although it's loud it acted as white noise for my baby. My only ding would be that you have to reach out to them for the cord. It's free. But an extra step I didn't want to do. 4
