    Old school, classic style and box design make it worth it (but newer style ones will be easier to use)This is the OG toy gyroscope, so it brings back lots of memories with the style and packaging. Like when things were more fragile and broke easier. This falls apart, but mine has been pretty easy to snap back together. It's much harder to wind and start consistently with the string than the newer style plastic pull ones...but if you're reminiscing about the olden days, you'll want a string one like this (it's well-described in the title).If you want it easy to use, you might want a slightly higher quality or precision gyroscope, with the plastic pull cord. I am a recent gyroscope-trickster-wannabe, so not a pro...this is a total beginners impression of the three I ordered. The box on this one is cool, and you can find tricks online that utilize this actual box. 4For ten bucks I expected more qualityI had one of these as a kid and I wanted to share it with my kids. This is made of some softer metal, with a bit of a corroded look. The bad news is if you drop it from more than a foot or two the gyro pops out. The good news is that it goes back in just as easily. This is a $5 product that costs $1 to make and sold for $10. 3Nostalgic Gyroscope with low quality buildThis gyroscope was purchased to show my kids what I thought would be a great memory of my childhood. Opening the product it appeared it was already scratched and used. The metal wasn't polished, and the gyroscope build quality seemed fairly cheaper than I remember.The product ended up breaking after about a weeks worth of use. I wouldn't recommend to someone who is looking for a high quality build, more of a cheap toy to use. 3medium qualitybought these for my Great Grand kids who are 6 years old and I and the kids parents had trouble getting them to work. So for the kids to actually use them it may take a few years before they can do it on their own. 3Not well balancedProduct is not well balanced for spin. 2Not a fanBroke day one. The metal is not secure and the gyroscope does not sit well. First time I used it, the gyro flew out of the metal encasement. I had several of these as a child and they lasted forever. Obviously not the same quality anymore. 1Great toys!My nieces and nephews thought these were the coolest. They just needed a few practice attempts then they worked great.People concerned about them not being perfectly balanced need to realize that these are kid toys, not precision instruments. 4The ad and photos.The ad and photos show (3) Three boxes I assumed that the seller was shipping (3) since the price was a bit more than sellers with images of (1) gyroscope. The picture of three boxes is misleading, however, I should have paid more attention. The gyroscope works fine, just like the one I got as a kid (long time ago). 2BrokenCame broken. Sent back 1Bad marketing! Not balanced wellShows three in the pictures, but I got only one box. Bad marketing! Not balanced well. Just okay to show to kids. Since it is not balanced, it doesn't stay in one place. It keep moving around. For $10, manufactures could spend some machine tuning to balance it! 1
