    Very sleek looking set!A bit smaller than standard mahjong tiles but perfect for playing on the go - we've taken it to restaurants and coffee shops and it plays well. It doesn't come with extra tiles in case you lose one. Plus I wish the tiles were shiny but they are matte finish - which is ok - just not what I was expecting. The case it comes with feels really flimsy. Other than that, I'm happy with this purchase and recommend it to others. 5Beautiful black setGreat set. I absolutely love this set and plan on using it for many years to come. 5Third set from YMI and it's as good as everThis will be my third mahjong set from Yellow Mountain and it's just as high quality as I've come to expect from them. The melamine tiles are durable, stack into walls nicely, and feel nice in the fingers.My only (very minor) gripe with this set is that the color scheme can render tiles occasionally hard to read, notably the bams. They are rather nice looking tiles otherwise. 5Strongly built and easy to read tiles.I just played this again last night, probably my 5th game with this set.PROS:Construction quality of all the game pieces (not the case itself) are all very strong and durable. The trays that came in the case are also rigid and seem quite durable.The paint colour choice makes all but the red tiles very easy to read even at a distance.CONS:The case itself should be handled fairly carefully.For the picky, there are a number of places (dice, bones) where the paint does not well match the molded-in area where paint should be applied. To be clear, this did not affect the tiles at all for me. Each tile looks quite carefully painted. 4Good quality and great priceGood quality and great price. The only thing you have to watch out for is the white dragon. It's completely black and you might think it's upside down and reveal you have a white dragon to everyone. People do not play with the red 5 tiles nor do they play with these flowers tiles. They say that manufacturers are filling the boxes with these tiles just so the boxes are full like the ones they use for the Chinese sets. I do like the smaller tiles vs. the big Chinese chunky ones so I kept this set. I think it is attractive but be advised that the colors are white and yellow print and things you might normally see as red like The Dragon are not red here in this set. They are well painted and it is good quality. 5Great set!This is a great Japanese Riichi "Reach" Mahjong set. The pieces are large enough to stand vertical for your hand, so no need for racks. The characters look even better in person than in the pictures! Comes with everything you need to play except the rules (there is no documents shipped with the set), but that's what the internet is for.Great case to hold everything in as well.One thing of note: the black will show dirt/smudges much more than the white set. Had to post in two different local libraries but finally found a fourth player. The tiles, and the set, were smaller than I expected when I got it, but after playing, I can say they work great. Anything larger and we would have had trouble fitting it all on the table. But these are just the right size, and they don't tip over or anything and aren't difficult to handle. 5
